The Holy Spirit has been moving in a powerful way for the Eudists over the past several years.
In 2008, the Congregation ordained their first new priest in over 30 years. Since then, the floodgates have opened wide. The number of new vocations that the Lord brought to the Congregation made it necessary to secure a House of Formation, where the new candidates could discern and be trained. Currently, we have 9 seminarians in discernment: 5 in pre-theology living at the HOJAM, 1 in theology at St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, and 3 completing a year-long retreat focused on Eudist spirituality in Tagatay, Philippines.
In a time when priests are in increasingly short supply, and with a steady increase in the number of Catholics who do not even attend mass regularly, the Lord continues to call workers to his vineyard. Now is a time when, more than ever, we need men who have the same passion St. John Eudes had to evangelize within the church and to form priests to be missionaries of the Love and Mercy of Christ.
